An important message from our General Manager, Michelle Ratcliffe
February 5, 2020
Dear Members,
After eight incredible years, my time with the Whistler Chamber will be coming to a close at the end of this week. Next Monday I begin a new chapter with the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, where I will lead stakeholder and member engagement. My final day as General Manager of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce will be Friday, February 5, 2021.
Thank you. Working with this inspiring team, our Members, our community partners and our visionary board for the good of our Whistler business community has been the most fulfilling honour. The opportunity to do this substantive work in my hometown was a gift. The true highlight has been working with all of you and especially our passionate Whistler Chamber team who always lead from the heart. As we all face the challenges of the pandemic, economic recovery, and climate change, I am honoured to carry with me Whistler’s spirit, as trailblazers with collaborative creativity, and resilience.
Like many Chambers in our provincial, national and international network, the Whistler and Kelowna Chambers have a track record of elevating each other and those around them. From innovation to shared advocacy efforts – there is a collaborative friendship here that I hope to only deepen. While it is difficult to leave, I’m not going far. Whistler will always be my hometown. I will continue my volunteer efforts in the community and I will always support our businesses the best ways I can. I cherish the relationships we’ve built. They are lifelong and I hope to have the opportunity to collaborate again in the future.
Kindly,
Michelle Ratcliffe
