BC Family Day
It has come to the Whistler Chamber’s attention that the provincial government is considering a date change to the BC Family Day holiday. On behalf of our members, we wish to request greater consultation with the provincial government before a change of date is considered.
We’re taking action:
On Friday, October 27, 2017 The Whistler Chamber wrote the following letter to The Honorable John Horgan, Premier of British Columbia; The Honourable Lisa Beare, Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture and The Honourable Jordan Sturdy, MLA West Vancouver – Sea to Sky.

The Office of the Premier replied to the Whistler Chamber’s letter on Tuesday, October 31 thanking us for our letter and aknowledging the importance of this topic for our Chamber.
The Office of the Premier also shared a copy of our letter with the Honourable Bruce Ralston, Minister of Jobs, Trade and Technology. His staff will ensure that our comments are included in any upcoming, related discussions.
We will continue to monitor this open advocacy file and look forward to working with the provincial government on a positive solution..
