U.S tariffs on Canadian goods went into effect March 4, 2025. In response, Canada has imposed retaliatory tariffs of 25% on $30 billion in goods imported from the United Sates, followed by further tariffs on $125 billion worth of American products in another 21 days. The countermeasures are effective as of March 4, 2025 and will remain in place until the U.S eliminates its tariffs against Canadian good. As our closest neighbor, trading partner and friend, we are eager for a quick and positive resolution that supports people and businesses on both sides of the border.

The resulting uncertainty has driven many businesses across Canada to look for guidance and resources. The Whistler Chamber team are curating resources, which will be shared on whistlerchamber.com. In the meantime, below are some tools.
