Whistler Recruitment Video – What Your Chamber is Doing to Address Labour Concerns
October 7th, 2021
The Whistler Chamber is proud to partner with Tourism Whistler to produce a new video to help the local business community attract employees.
Throughout the summer, labour shortages have presented challenges across all industries in our municipality. Addressing the issue is a primary focus at the Whistler Chamber, as securing a stable workforce is a vital component of a sustainable resort economy.
The video features commentary from Whistler locals regarding their take on what makes Whistler such a great place to live, work, and play.
Set to launch next week, the dedicated advertising campaign to inspire workers to live, work and play in Whistler will include ads on various social platforms that will run across Canada throughout October and November, with the potential to expand the campaign internationally in January. Additionally, Glacier Media has been secured to produce a social ad campaign and a sponsored content piece with Vancouver is Awesome that will launch this month across BC.
In order to take full advantage of the distribution of the recruitment video, we encourage Members to post their job listings on the Chamber job board, which serves as the destination for the call-to-action at the end of the video. Posting to our job board is a Members-only benefit.
Our Workforce Hub page houses the Chamber job board along with other resources, such as training and certification opportunities, Whistler in winter, and our Employer Resources page, which will help your business thrive by helping you recruit, train, and retain workers.
Whistler has taken extensive precautions against Covid-19, and boasts one of the best vaccination rates in the country. No compromises have been made in the name of safety for front-line staff, guests, and the extended community.
