Advocacy In Action: “Working in Whistler” Labour Market Surveys
In February the Chamber convened a Labour Task Force with the purpose of improving the Whistler labour market for the summer and fall 2018. The focus is on:
- Quick-to-implement initiatives (outside housing) that positively impact Whistler’s ability to recruit, retain and train a skilled workforce
- Facilitating solutions to lesson barriers in the labour market
Separately, your Chamber will continue to advocate for affordable housing.
As an important step, employers and employees have the opportunity to provide valuable data and insights into the Whistler labour market in two separate surveys.
EMPLOYEES > The “Working in Whistler” Employee Survey – April 17 – May 6, 2018
EMPLOYERS > The Annual Member Survey – with a special section dedicated to labour – May 1 – June 1, 2018
The information will allow the Labour Task Force to prioritize initiatives and solutions for this summer 2018.
Survey responses will be kept confidential and only be shared on a cumulative basis. We encourage all businesses and employees to share facts and their opinions.
All “Working in Whistler” Employee Survey respondents who submit their name and email details will be entered into a draw for a range of prizes generously donated by our awesome Members:
Audain Museum: 8 individual tickets
Canadian Wilderness Adventures: 4 x 2 single riders for the “Call of the Wild” tour
